"St. Pete police announced that Taylen Mosleyâ€™s body was found in an alligatorâ€™s mouth on Friday afternoon.

Police said they spotted an alligator with an object in its mouth. Officers fired a round at the alligator and it dropped the object.

Chief Anthony Holloway said officers were able to retrieve Taylenâ€™s body intact.

â€œIt is with great sadness that Taylen Mosley has been found,â€� Holloway said.

Taylenâ€™s father is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway will announce a â€œsignificant updateâ€� on the disappearance of 2-year-old Taylen Mosley. The chief is expected to speak at 8:15 p.m.

St. Petersburg police said they have deemed Taylenâ€™s father as a person of interest as they continued the search for the toddler Friday.

An Amber Alert was issued for the toddler, who remains missing after his mother was found dead in their St. Petersburg apartment Thursday.

Pashun Jeffrey, 20, was killed at Lincoln Shores Apartments, located at 11601 4th Street North, according to St. Pete police." WSBTV

Two North Carolina men on spring break in Florida have been charged with drugging and raping a woman who later died, possibly of a drug overdose in Miami Beach, police said Tuesday. 
 
The two men arrested in Miami Beach, Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, have been charged with sexual battery as well as burglary with battery, theft and credit card fraud. The woman was found dead last Thursday after officers responded to â€œreports of an unconscious femaleâ€� at a South Beach hotel, according to a police report. The men are accused of stealing the dead womanâ€™s credit cards to help fund their South Beach vacation, the report says. Online jail records did not indicate whether the two had an attorney who could speak for them. 
 
Whether the two are charged with manslaughter or murder will depend on what caused the womanâ€™s death, which a medical examiner has not yet released. Investigators are looking into whether the woman died of a drug overdose, possibly a substance supplied by the men, who said they gave her a â€œgreen pill,â€� according to the arrest report. An arrest warrant affidavit states that Bethany Martin, 17, and a female friend, 16, discovered the manâ€™s body near the intersection of Sunday Song and Charismatic in Southwest Bexar County on Monday morning.
 
Investigators said the girls first called a friend, who arrived and called authorities.
