Thomas Fahmy, a 24-year-old Staten Island congressional staffer, was struck by lightning last Thursday while walking to a dentist appointment just feet from his car. He described full-body tingling, numbness and burning pain, but doctors found no burns or major injuries after one night in the hospital; he returned to work the next day. Fahmy later went to church to thank God for giving him another chance.
