A private tourist helicopter with five passengers on board made a dramatic crash into the water near the USS Arizona Memorial in Honolulu on Thursday startling sightseers, authorities said — and it was all caught on camera.
The Genesis Aviation chopper made a hard landing into the drink around 10:30 a.m. (3:30 p.m. ET), prompting several good Samaritans to dive in and pull victims to shore.
Three victims were taken to Pali Momi Medical Center: a 16-year-old boy who was in critical condition, and a 45-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man who were listed as stable, a hospital spokesperson said.
The remaining two people aboard the helicopter were not believed to be critically injured, officials said.
