"Rutgers University wants to be known for its high-level academics, but now, another controversy has the Central Jersey institution in the headlines — it involves students, but it’s about anything but academics.
Students partied so disruptively over last weekend, police in the City of New Brunswick, which includes Rutgers, say, that they had to call in reinforcements from four other departments, including Rutgers University Police. The partying was so intense, that now, investigators are reviewing video of the makeshift event that took up a whole block, as well as roofs, and sidewalks and cars, to see if more arrests need to be made.

“If they hadn’t have shown up, we’d have never gotten out of there,” said James Ciampi, regarding the police presence at the party on Delafield Street. He was among the many who had attended who acknowledged that their celebration, called Delafest, got too big" - Pix 11
