Derric Fifer went from suspect to cleared man and back to a suspect in jail in less than 24 hours. Police said during its investigation, it was determined that the 23-year-old Fifer was indeed responsible for the carjacking and kidnappings. Fifer was charged with aggravated robbery, two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, criminal attempt aggravated kidnapping, theft of property $1,000 - $10,000 to wit motor vehicle, and aggravated assault.
