Mike Epps once joked in a stand-up special that Ice-T only gets “two lines” on Law & Order: SVU—even acting out how Ice-T walks onto the crime scene, says a couple words, and disappears.
Now Ice-T himself has confirmed that his reduced screen time this season is due to budget changes after the return of actress Kelli Giddish.
He says he’s not leaving the show, he’s just being used “a little less” while the series balances cast costs. Ice-T has been on SVU for 27 years and says he’s still aiming for Season 28.
